Track 1: Spectrum of Science -Explore the spectrum of science as we journey from succulent planting to wind health and human performance and into the depths of anatomy. Each workshop represents a different facet forming an exciting day that spans diverse scientific realms. This track includes our Cadaver Lab.
Track 2: Engineering, Biology, and Your Body - Our health relies more on technology every day. This track gives you just a glimpse of how technology is advancing our understanding of how our body works. See firsthand the systems that help you on the court, stage and classroom. Biology has been unlocking the mysteries of life for generations, but did you know there is a wide range of careers that studying Biology can lead you to? This track includes our Cadaver Lab.Track 3: Engineering, Safety, and Materials - Engineering and safety must go hand in hand as our advancing technology continues to make our manufacturing and construction processes more complex. Learn about how Engineers are always looking for new ways to produce items we use everyday. Soar to new heights as you get hands on experience with items and processes that keep workers safe as they perform dangerous tasks to keep our work moving. Ever think about how many things in your world are made from plastic? Ever wanted a chance to make something with this common material? Now is your chance!
Track 4: Science and Your Senses - Hearing, sight and taste have a huge impact on our life, whether it's hearing the rush of a rollercoaster, the bright colors of pottery or the sweet taste of fresh ice cream. First, you’ll chill out and learn the science behind one of the most popular snacks in the United States! Next, ever wonder how an artist achieved that color? Ever wanted to make a color yourself? That's chemistry in action. Finally, you'll learn what makes a rollercoaster go.Track 5: The Science of Problem-Solving - Complex and what sometimes appear to be unsolvable mysteries and problems get solved everyday with math and science. In this track you will experience three different ways science helps us solve problems/mysteries around puzzles, crimes and coding with a rubber duck! Prepare to put on your thinking caps! Track 6: Engineering and the World Around You - Engineering and science play a major role in the world around us. Whether it’s the design and upkeep of the bridge you may have crossed today or how we learn about trees to keep this vital resource producing the air we breathe, our world is shaped by these professions.
